As of September 06, 2021 — Mars Petcare Canada, Whiskas Dry Cat Food has announced a recall of various lots due to raw ingredients that were not up to the company standards.
- Please Be Aware: Whiskas has not disclosed the reason or cause for the recall, the company only states “raw ingredients” were outside “quality specifications“. This could be anything from Mycotoxin to Salmonella.

Mars Petcare Canada has not disclosed the reason for this voluntary recall.
Where Was the Product Sold?
The affected Whiskas product was distributed to retail customers throughout Canada. The company is working with all distributors and retailers across the country to make sure the products are no longer sold and are removed from inventory.
