I kept hoping there would be a question of the week posted sometime this weekend, but it never went up, it seems. Hope it's just that Aedan and his dad are taking a vacation and will tell us all about it when they get back. Anyway... It sort of felt weird not to see any new threads going up here (QoT or otherwise) for a while, so I figured I'd start one.
I know this has been done in QoT before, but I'm pretty sure we have a lot more members now than back when I saw it, so I wanted to ask: who here has fursiblings? If you do, what are they: orangies like you, or not? How many? If more than one do you have a favorite fur sibling?
I have a fursister. She's not orange like me. Mom and dad are making a big deal about her possibly being a blue smoke MSH (she's young, so only time will tell) right now, so I've had to sit by momma's butt more often lately to remind her that my fur is the best color there is (classic red tabby!)
I have a yucky fursister named Good Golly Miss Molly.....
She almost wasn't my fursister thou, when my redhead adopted me, she also adopted Molly(not the same cat as the above GGMM).
My first fursister was nice, they told my redhead she was a MANX…..but come to find out she wasn't, she had deformities of her spine that we didn't know about. She couldn't control her bladder or bowels & she walked funny..... My redhead took her back to the pound and wanted her checked out…my redhead said, 'don't do anything to her until you talk to me'
Well when my redhead went back to the pound after work….THEY SENT MOLLY TO THE BRIDGE WITHOUT ASKING MY RH FIRST!!!
Boy was my redhead mad & sad!!!!! How could they!!!???
My redhead was so lonely after Mr. Kitdee went to the bridge….then she was lonely again when Molly went to the bridge, thank catness I was there to help her thru it!
She cried & cried at the pound that day….when she got home about 20 minutes later a foster Mom had called(she must have heard how distraught my rh was)and said she would have some female kittens at the pound tomorrow at 10am…..my redhead was there around 945am…….she saw the furbaby she wanted but unfortunately that baby didn't weigh enough to be adopted…..there was one little girl that weighed enough and you guess it furfriends….she is now my yucky fursister with a little name variation….Good Golly Miss Molly!!
I do love my fursister, but she is still the yuckiest cat ever... She does have a little orange in her but not enough to make her BRILLIANT....
Siouxsie has 3 fursiblings...none of them are orange OR as brilliant as we Orangies....
Ayla comes close, but she's a dilute cali-cow so that doesn't quite count even though she does have 1 orange tabby leg & shades of peach on her head...it's just not enough...maybe she sort of....bright???
I have 3 fur siblings 2 brothers and 1 sister my sister and I are from the same litter. None of them are orange like me,though my sister has orange in her fur. My brother Alvin is black like a panther with beautiful green eyes, my brother Cletus is black and white and my sister Spicey is a tortie she has the attitude to go with it...mol I love to cuddle with my brother Alvin the most, but I love all my fur siblings
i have 3 siblings, , not orangies . Ruby jane is grey and very bossy. Scout thinks he is the sheriff and is always sticking his nose in everybodys business.he is black & white. Xena is a tiny little warrior ,she is all black with white toes. we are a great family. I want to thanks everyone who sent my mom a happy birthday she cried , and just hugged me all day WHEW AM I GLAD THATS OVER. i love mom but 1 or 2 hugs aday is good.
I have a sisfur that is a tortie and an olde furt! Her name is Scratch. We get along allright. We're not cuddle buddies or anything but at 14 years old she can still tumble around pretty well.
Well I have 3 fursiblings....none orange! Which really works out well for me!
My brofur Sparky was Orange & White (he's in this group, just stays quiet)...but he had cancer and had to go to the Bridge almost 2 years ago.
Sparky & Chip were daddy's & I was momma's...so when they got married, I got two new brofurs. We got Maggie & Rudy last year when Momma's co-worker kept sending her pictures of her niece's cat's kittens. I really like having them here, Chip, not so much...but they keep us active and in our older age, Momma says it's good for us.
I'm not so sure about that!
I have a new fursister since Wednesday. Her name is Bunnie. She is pretty small, 'course I'm 16 pounds so most cats are small. She is good at running fast (don't ask me how I know) and good at fitting under the recliner (don't ask me how I know).
I am mostly leaving her alone. She is annoying cute with toys all day long. She doesn't come on MY porch too much other than to drink my water, which I let her do. I do like to sniff her under mommy's watchful eye.
She stays in Boy's room at night and while Family is gone so I have the whole house to myself, and most importantly, I have mommy's face and pillow for lovies in the morning.
Bunnie is a brown tiger striped cat with an orangie tipped tail and an orangie spot on her head. She has some random orangie spots on her body. One of her fursisters at the Humane Society was a complete orangie. Bunnie and 6 siblings were found at one day old in a trash bag dumped on the road. A jogger found them and took them to the Humane Society. Mommy is going to put the Humane Society on her Christmas list now and watch for "on sale" food and toys to stock up on for them.
I am still not so sure about Bunnie. She does purr awful loudly and Mommy thinks she's cute.
you'll get over it. Meowmy helped me get over not being an only anymore by spending lots of time with just me, and then she also saved the snuggles and saying how cute is the kitten (she is awfully cute still, I have to admit) for when the two of them were alone. I still resent mom petting her near me sometimes, especially when mom smooches her (and the kitten does not even appreciate it as much as I do! ).
But then she does something cute for me, and we start playing, and... well, I'm just saying that in time you'll see that having a little fur sister is kind of fun (right now I' showing mine how to play with paper bags).
