Hi, everybody. My name's Forest and I just found and joined this group. I'm a CH kitty, too.

When I was just a tiny newborn baby, somebody dumped me and my brother into a dumpster behind a pet store on a really cold November day. I guess they thought we were garbage just because we were a little different. The nice pet store lady got us out and took us to the vet, who said that we had CH. They named us Forest and Bubba.

The vet kept us until she could find homes for me and my brother. We were there a really long time...about six months. Then one day my Meowmy came in and saw me in the cage in the lobby. It was love at first sight...we knew we were meant for each other. It took her a week to talk my Pawpa into letting me come home, but she did it. Pawpa gave me to her as their first anniversary gift. Meowmy says I'm one of the best presents she ever got because I love back. (Pawpa also rescued Tailer as a present to Meowmy a few years before me.)

I was pretty wobbly in those early days, I used to get frustrated trying to keep my legs all moving together and I'd give up and just drag my back feet behind me. I got a lot better at it as I got older, though. I even climb up onto the furniture all by myself these days. (Meowmy keeps some stools in spots for me to help me out.) Everybody who comes over loves me, and I've even converted a few cat haters into cat lovers!

Oh, one more thing...Bubba had a happy ending, too. He was adopted by his family a few days after me. Last time we were at the vet, I heard her tell Meowmy that his new name is Crash and he's really healthy and happy.
