Arrival Story:
In 2002 there were 12 ferals born within weeks of each other at my apartments and ALL of them were black. They wouldn't come close to me even though I fed them every night. But, one night a tail-less black kitten came that was clearly not wild. It ran right up to me, two raccoons chasing him. He was so affectionate and adorable--Manx kitten are hilarious. I tried to find his owner, but I truly think he was a "dropoff" because I live on the edge of Austin, and it happens out here all the time. The vet said he was near show quality in his Manx traits. Not that I cared. He could have been blind, three legged, and bedraggled...didn't matter, I was in love.

Bio:
The raccoons never let up. They're huge around here, and gobbled up many feral kittens. Bob fought them valiantly and, in the end, fell to either a very large raccoon or small coyote. God bless my friends on TDK for their kind words about our heroic brother Bob. Love, Misty and CJ.
