I am already feeling nostalgic.
Can I be totally honest and admit that I will miss all the attention?
It has been just so wonderful.
So many wonderful surprises.
This past week I gave a rosie to every COTD and DOTD.
I stopped by DDP winner Luci's page to congratulate her.
A confession: I'm curious and nosy so I tend to read other kitties' rosettes. Luci had a grape drink congrats from one catster's superstars,
Mercy. She signed off saying Have a grape day! Well, that just tickled my fancy~I had so many TY's to give and Mercy's comment was sweet, short and purr~fect.~ so I stole it.
But then my conscience got the better of me. So I gave Mercy a grape drink and told her what I had done. She sent one back saying that
we may be going to jail together cause she also had "stolen" it. MOL!
That never occurred to me. I told Mercy I would be honored to share
a jail cell with her. I would even give her my pillow!

Former COTW Dusty the Puppycat who sent me a star althoughI was conpletely unaware that he was one as well. (He was during the month of December 07 when we were mourning Syd and Wally and I was quite sick.
Lovely orangie Clara and family also sent a shiny star.
India sent a friend request because she said I am "the cutest kitty ever!" Aw,thanks India, but I don't think so. On the other paw you are simply stunning! Have a look at this exotic Bengal kitty.
From adorable Pebbles a trophy and zealies. Thank you so much. One thing we never have enough of. If I could I would give a star a week to all my friends!

Paige Her angel bro Isaac sent them an adorable kitten,

I have lots of friends here. I am truly a blessed dude.
I love my friends.
One of them is Briana She is not the happiest purr-son I have ever met.
Like me she lost a beloved bro, Rufus and had to contend with
two newcomers, one of them a rambunctious orangie named Hamlet
For the longest time I wished to cheer her up. I know she wanted
to be a diary pick. I even dreamed that this happened.
I told about the dream.I was so sure that it would happen (I have some ESP) I told her to watch and see, she will be a diary pick!!

First mom humiliates me in a public forum then she wants me to meow about it in my very own diary.

OH! Just so you know. I have many adorable qualities. I hug her neck
like a hooman child. I give kisses on command. Often I gently tap on her
the shoulder when I want attention and SHE is on the puter.
My copy cat brother has also started the tapping on the shoulder so now
if she is not looking she doesn't know who is doing the tapping. MOL
I am VERY sweet even if I don't let her sleep!!!
She should do like us, nap.

Teddy is minutes away from being a year old. So I guess he is not a baby
anymore. Athough if you ask me~he is going to be very slow to mature.
At the moment he is still an overgrown baby.
You know what he is doing right at this moment?
Chewing mom's slipper which has become officially his.
I have never seen a cat chew a slipper. Isn't that strictly a puppy thing?
Earlier this evening he was about to chew a book, which just happens to be a library book. Lucky mom saw him. Does this sound like a grown up
kitty to you?
Anyway I should not be picking on birthday boy.

Hi all~
I have been receiving so many letters. So many of you, like are just so
HAPPY about finding
Mr. D!
Have you seen his page? A sea of gifties.
I heard from him tonight and of course they are overwhelmed with
letters asking how he is doing.
He would like us all to know that he is doing "amazingly well
He is going to be checked out by his vet on Wednesday just to make sure
he is healthy. (So let's keep purring that he is!!!)
He sweetly says he is happy that he "cheered up " so many.
How is that for an understatement?!
I think I speak for many when I say this is the most wonderful thing
that happened on catster in a very long time.
I am on cloud 9 and I see many of my friends right here with me.
I hope MrD doesn't mind but I must share another part of his p-mail:
. I'm having my photo taken tomorrow by the newspaper AND the magazine. The TV have already done a follow up this morning, I’m shocked how well known we are MOL. Now when the hooman walks into a shopping centre she gets people asking about me, little ol’ me . The hooman went out on the road for the last time this morning with a sign saying that I'm found and thanking them. She got heap and heaps of toots, smiles, thumbs up, waves and also many people clapping. I think it made a number of people happy this morning. We even had people ringing to say thanks. The hooman also went around the vet clinics with packets of biscuits and rounded up all the posters (she still has the after hours one to do but that's after 7pm). Tomorrow after the photo sessions she will then return the cat suit and then go on to the SPCA and get the flyers from there. BOY is she going to need a lot of biscuits for that place MOL. With wed been Vet day, the hooman is then back to work on Thursday. We still haven't got through all our p-mail yet. But we are trying, we love reading all the letters, I wish the hooman had more time off work."
I think it is so sweet of Karyn to have gone out with a sign saying she found D! What a thoughtful thing to do. I am sure she would rather
just turn everything off and cuddle her MrD
Definitely more time off work would be great.
We have not forgotten about the party but we must give D more time
It will be a 24 hour bash to give all time zones a chance to join us.

When I woke mom up at 4:00 with the need to knead. I wish I could say
that I had a feeling that this would be a special day.
Of course mom being in instant awaker there is never any question of just turning over and going back to sleep. So she let me knead for a while and she gently pushed me away.
Not long after that she was online.
This wonderful place is our home away from home.
Mail in my box and email in mom's box.
All with the same awesome news.
MR D has been found exactly 6 months to the day that he had gone missing.

Teddy and I got very excited. Teddy soon found out that he had somethinge else to be overjoyed about~ his lovely AR is COTD
Congratulations sweetie~we are all happy for you.
Mom was leaking all over the place.
What is it with humans that they cry when they are sad and cry when they are happy? Hmm, and they say us felines are hard to figure out.
Sometime soon there will be a party to celebrate MrD's homecoming.
We think we should give Karyn sometime with her sweet baby.

I just checked in with my group for MR D and saw the most awesome post from his mom Karyn.
The publicity just keeps growing.
Now she is front page news in a free local newspaper that goes to every home in their community.
She is on the cover wearing her Puss N Boots costume and holding
the poster of MrD. It is a very nice article. Please read it

There are other stories in the works. Even another TV appearance
on another station.
Somebody will surely come forward with news about D.
I have never felt more optimistic. The past 6 monts I have never lost hope. I know Mr D will be reunited with his family.

Hello friends and family~
In the past when I asked you for advice, I always received some great
answers.
So I turn to you once again.
I had a very strange Saturday evening.
Mom had a rough day so she turned off the computer to read a bit before making it an early night.
When mom is in bed I take my place close to her and start to knead her.
It is absolutely my favorite activity, next to eating. MOL
Not last night.
Mom was puzzled. She patted the bed. I ignored her.
I started walking in all the places she doesn't like me to walk. On her dresser;on top of the computer speaker. The worst thing?
I walked back and forth the edge of her headboard until~
I FELL OFF!!!!
Right on top of her head.
OH WOE IS ME!
I injured my mommy.
She has a nasty scratch on her scalp and her chest.
She was not a happy camper. She didn't say a word. Just went to the bathroom to clean her wounds.
When she came back to the bedroom, I guess she decided it was an accident and tried to forgive me.
She told me it was OK. Accidents happen. (Although if you ask me this accident happened cause of my stoopid behavior.)
Once again she patted the bed.
What did I do? Instead of snuggling with her and tell her I am sorry I hurt her~I started my crazy walking again. I went up on the headboard~ again.
This time I had one p----ed off mommy!
She jumped up grabbed me and deposited me outside the bedroom and slammed the door.
She yelled (she never yells at me) when you are ready to behave like my Alfie let me know!!
Normal reacion for me would have been to cry at the door to be let in.
Not last night.
This morning I didn't knead her. I have not skipped my morning kneading~ever!!
Mommy and I are both puzzled.
We could both use some ideas.
Just so you know. She wasn't all that mad at me about the food incident . She knows that's Teddy's fault.
Times in the past I used to be naughty just to get her attention.
More stoopid thinking that negative attention is better than no attention. But I stopped doing that when she consistently ignored me and I realized she was onto me. So that's
not it either.
I love my mommy, what's wrong with me?

It has been 6 long months since my sweet friend MR. D has gone missing.
I can't remember when we met. I think it was early on when we first joined catster. How can you not be drawn in by those orangie eyes?
I remember the morning we saw the word "missing" beside his name.
It was so shocking but I never imagined that 6 months later he still would not be home.
January 30th we created the group Purrs and Woofs For Mr.D
Today we are still 394 members strong. We continuously light candles
and purr and purr and do our best to offer our support to his broken hearted mom Karyn and his fur sister Sam
We feel so helpless most of the time. They are so far away...
As more and more time went by we were all convinced that someone took Mr D in to their home. Have a look at him? Wouldn't you just take him to your heart? But this person obviously couldn't know how much he he is missed and loved. How to reach this person? That was the question.
A short while ago we got the news that Karyn is renting a costume of
Puss N Boots and she was going wear it, holding up a poster of D.Stand
by a busy road and hope that someone sees it or knows somebody who...that it will lead to MrD
OMC! I think this is beyond love and devotion. It is positively inspired.
Then I got inspired. I thought how to reach even more people? After all this is not an ordinary story. We asked Karyn about possible TV stations that carry this type of story and she mentioned something called "The Breakfast show" So I had mom email the station and tell them about
D and Karyn.
Guess what?
Not even half a day later. Karyn heard from them and Thursday morning she was on TV. It is on his page but I will give the link to youtube. You simply must watch The search for MrD
So now we wait and hope and purr.
Those of you are reading this and are not friends with MrD would you purr anyway?
Please purr for a sweet kitty who is so missed by his loving family and by so many of his catster friends.
Purr for a happy ending to this story. I am a sunny optimistic dude
so I can't even imagine anything but a happy ending.
When he is found, we will give his family a little well earned rest and then we are going to have the biggest welcome home party for Mr D

He was concerned that the title of yesterday's diary entry was referring
to me suddenly becoming an orphan.
I am sorry. I thought I was being funny.
HQ wrote but they couldn't solve the problem.

She said that if you hit submit before the page fully loads (before you can see the numbers of your photos on the side ) you get the message we got.
Mom having no patience, this made purrfect sense.
So we tried waiting with some "Come on, come on" and impatient finger tapping on the keyboard. Finally the page was fully loaded I hit
SUBMIT and it works.
I am mom's kitty again.

It started on Friday, mom wanted to add a photo of me. When she hit submit this is the message she received:
"Meow meow! Well this is cat-crazy unusual. For some reason you are trying to access a cat that is not yours. "
She laughed at first but then she got a bit incensed.
When it was not fixed by today, she wrote an email. She offered
proof by way of my birth certificat.
Cute, mom. Now HQ will think you are a crazy cat lady!
Of course she thinks there is really nothing wrong with that.
May even be a compliment.
However I still want to know?

HQ have you changed the rules? Back in the day when catster was very new you picked more than one kitty from the same family to be COTW.
I have just assumed that it doesn't happen anymore since catster has
grown so much.
Since our Wally was COTW March 2007 I just assumed that our family could no longer be in the running.
I think this gives my little brother Teddy Bearz lots of hope. He is such

I have received such wonderful mail telling me how much you like my

this idea to start a group.
For now I am calling it CATSTER KIMIS
It is for kitties who are also making them. We could put our heads together for ideas. Mom always says two heads are better than one. So I imagine a group of heads is great!

I absolutely love making kimis for my friend's birthdays.
Almost all of them end up using it as their main picture or at least put
it on their page. That makes me so happy. It is such an honor for me.
They are happy, I am happy. Talk about a win/win situation!

I think it was that orangie smudge on her sweet head that always made me want to give her a big hug.

Her name is Max
we called her Maxy cause she didn't like being mistaken for a boy.She lived an amazing 21 years.
She was much loved by her mom who is actually a couple of years younger. This is why my heart is breaking. Imagine never knowing a day in which Maxy was not there.Now she is gone.

Sorry but it's true. I love him to bits.
However explain this. He eats his own barfies, he eats flies!
He of course loves his food (Evo) and adores his treats.
He tries to steal my food.
When mom cooks meat Teddy goes to jail/bedroom or else he ends up on mom's head...purring all the time of course.
In short he never met a food he didn't desperately want!
So I though I would get him a gift he could use.
Breath mints which Teddy hates!!
. It is the one and only thing he ever spit out and he made a face like he sucked on a lemon, MOL
I hate it too. But I have heard from other kitties who totally love it.
What's a bro to do?

So it started with mom finding Herring Steaks, the ones our friend
Milo told us about.
Seems my bro is also fickle cause he loves this as much as his Thrive.
Mom gives me a piece.

Tonight I heard from sweet angel Rufus
Not only did he read my diary but he alerted me about the gorgeous
orangie KC
who is having her own frustrations with the kimi site.
She is was trying to make a kimi for her sister Mittens
whose birthday is tomorrow, June 1st.
Rufus thought there is a connection but no, my problem is strictly with

The other day my little bro made a confession. Now it is my turn.
I don't have much of a purr. Mostly I snort.
I knead a lot and when I am really into it I also snort and drool.
I also love to sit in mom's lap.
I don't do headbutts. What can I say? I am sorry cause I know how
much mom loves that but it is just not my style.
Lucky for her Teddy is a major headbutter and a big time purrer.
Exactly like Wally was..maybe they are brown tabby qualities?

Mom told the story of our sweet Simba to a friend. About the great love between
Simba and her mommy. How shattered she feels to not have Simba around after
2o years of sharing her life. So can you guess what the (non catster) friend said?
I don't mean to be insensitive but she did have her for 20 years. Mom almost said if you don't mean to be insensitive then don't be! But she was so tired and didn't feel up to arguing. This is not a bad person. She simply does not get it.
My theory is that we were simply not blessed with a long life span.
People say we are small creatures and our organs were not designed to function for decades.
Mom has a mantra. If a parrot has an average life span of 80 years why not
the most precious feline?

Mom is leaky tonight.
A friend of the family Dexter
has gone to the Bridge today.
He was supposed to have gone to the vet this morning but..
He was sickly and sad, missing his sister Molly who went to the Bridge just a short while ago.
It is difficult not to be sad. The concept of not seeing your loved one again is almost impossible to bear.
I know we have been there.
But time eases the pain. I believe that Dexter, Molly our Wally and Syd and all the others, they are fine. We will see them again. I really believe we will.
So our condolences for their sad mom.
There will be better days, I promise.
Please light candle

Happy Easter!
As many of you get together with family and friends to celebrate Easter there will be lots of good food, chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs and many other festive decorations.
Did you know that there is a traditional Easter decoration that can be very dangerous to us?
Well there is. The biggest Easter danger to kitties is toxicity from Easter Lily ingestion. They are toxic and dangerous. They cause kidney failure and can be deadly. So PLEASE! Either don't bring Easter lilies (which is the best thing to do) or keep them out of the reach.
Remember we are very curious and yes, sometimes sneaky. It only takes a minute to jump up on the counter and take a nibble. And that nibble could be fatal.
So be safe, keep the lilies away from us
