My 9 yr old male started vomiting "white mucus" 10 days after I brought a kitten with a cold home.

The vomiting has declined in severity the last few days, but his voice has been very weak today. He's fine in all other ways. Could these be cold symptoms? He hasn't been sneezing the way the kitten did.

Remember, we aren't vets here. Even if we were, there's no way we could diagnose what's wrong with your kitty over the Internet. While upper respiratory infections are contagious from cat to cat, it's hard to say that's what your older cat has even though the chances are good. I have to say that vomiting is not a symptom of a kitty cold. In any case, if your cat has been vomiting too often for it to be a hairball or food upset, you need to call your vet. now. Frequent vomiting is a symptom of an underlying health issue and the only one who can determine exactly what it is and treat it is a hands-on vet who can examine your cat in real time.

Like Izzy says we aren't vets and if we could we couldn't just diagnose your cat over the internet, and if you haven't taken your cat to the vet you NEED to take it, because it could be something even more severe for your cat.
