How can I stop my 6 mo old kitten from repeatedly urinating on the carpet?

I have made sure the litter boxes are clean and that there is one for each cat (i have 2 cats)
I have cleaned the spot with enzyme cleaner and put deterrent spray on it too.
The cat is not ill.
Any other advice?

Are you certain your cat does not have a urinary tract infection? There are seldom any other symptoms than urinating out of the box. And, this must be diagnosed by a vet's office doing a urine culture and be treated with antibiotics. Chances are your baby was not taught proper litter box manners by his mamacat. A friend who fostered kittens used to use a large Rubbermaid underbed box with low sides for her "herd" of foster kittens. They liked the room, the low sides and the accessibility of this large box. When he's used to using the big box (if he checks out OK for UTI's that is), then you can go back to a regular sized box. Btw--cat repellants don't work. I sprayed one right next to Delilah once and she had absolutely no reaction.
